Research studies show a direct link between goals and enhanced performance professionally and personally. Goals help you focus and allocate your time and resources efficiently, and they can keep you motivated when you feel like giving up.

Here are 5 goal setting tips: 

  1. Decide WHAT you want to achieve and WHY
  2. Write it down – and set a date when you aim to achieve it
  3. Make sure the goal is measurable, e.g. weight loss – pardon the pun
  4. Be realistic.  If you have just begun an exercise program, don’t expect to feel fit and healthy immediately. Chances are you will be exhausted for a few weeks.
  5. Be flexibile – reset if necessary
