Have you a dream within however you feel you are too old to pursue it? Are you inspired by successful women and read stories about others who have achieved their dreams – only to find they are much younger than you? Therefore reinforcing your view that you need to be a young age to undertake a new endeavour.

This week I share the story of Anne, a mature woman, who is beginning a new business venture with her husband – and they are both in their 70’s. I am sure you will be inspired.

I would love to hear your thoughts or stories of others who began a new venture or changed career at a mature age. Just write in the comment box below the video and I will join in the conversation.

See you next week.

  1. Don’t let excuses get in the way EVER.
Golda Meir was 71 when she became prime minister of Israel.
Painter Grandma Moses didn’t start painting until she was 80 years old. She completed over 1,500 paintings after that; 25 percent of those were produced when she was past 100.
Michelangelo was 71 when he painted the Sistine Chapel
Physician and humanitarian Albert Schweitzer was still performing operations in his African hospital at 89
Doc Counsilman, at 58, became the oldest person ever to swim the English Channel.
Examples are all around of people who didn’t let age stop them reaching their dreams!
Thank you Bev for reminding us.

  2. Thanks Michele for sharing some other great examples. We can all be inspired by these amazing men and women.
