Before I leave the house, I would make sure all the beds are made, the laundry is done and the kitchen is clean. I would rush around like a mad woman and get really frustrated because no one in the family was helping.  My husband very sweetly pointed out that there is more to life than a spotless house.

Are there things you don’t do because you think you are not perfect?  Is perfection holding you back from doing some things you would love to do?

I would love to hear your thoughts.  Once you have watched the video, please comment in the box so I can join in the conversation.

  1. Hi Bev,
You hit the nail on the head, I can relate to some of the things you said in this film clip. Like waiting to finish studying before beginning that new career I am always dreamt of. I know in my case one starts to doubt herself and applying for any jobs. Only to realise that you have wasted more time and going backwards instead of forwards to achieve your goal.

  2. WOW How true is this for so many people. Just like my mum I can’t go on holidays without a clean house and very clean floors. This is of course ridiculous but a deeply ingrained thought process. Much better to READY, FIRE, AIM and actually move forward and achieve our goals.

  3. Great to hear from you Yolande. If you keep waiting until everything is prefect you will never begin your dream career. I encourage you to not waste any more time and to step up and make a start. I would love to help you move forward so please contact me.

  4. Thanks Sue for sharing the READY FIRE AIM concept to encourage the viewers achieve their goals. If you wait until all the conditions are right you may never do anything – or begin your holiday feeling exhausted because of all the extra housework you did!
